The fifth batch in the famous Tun 1509 series from the Balvenie, this Speyside single malt is a marriage of single casks hand-selected by Malt Master David C. Stewart and brought together in the eponymous Tun, a traditional oak marrying vessel. Each release is limited to just a few thousand bottles worldwide. This latest batch is presented at a strength of 52.6% abv.
The nose is incredibly rich and fruity. the palate brings a burst of spice before a deep sherry influence. Dried fruits linger with elegant oak notes in the finish.
